He's all alone in a world full of COCKSUCKERS. every fucking character in this series is an ASSHOLE except for the Wu Dang Taoists. Apparently Zha Liang Yong wants to portray EVERY other martial arts sect (besides Wu Dang) as being malicious and immoral. The first half of this episode is completely retarded and nonsensical. Yang Guo was a complete and utter horse turd as a child. Zhang Wu Ji may be the best out of all three male protagonists in the trilogy. So far this series is SO much more entertaining than The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006), it's not even a close comparison. Only pea-brained neanderthals want action without drama. For one thing, many of the characters are actually likeable (especially the Wu Dang Taoists) unlike in Return. This series is already far more entertaining than The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) was at this point.
Guo Xiang would be DISGUSTED to see what her E Mei Sect has become. at least two of those actors returned to play Buddhist monks in Zhang Ji Zhong's Journey to the West (2012). Wu Dang Taoism really is the best sect of all (besides my own, of course). Wang Yuan Ke, on the other hand, is fucking beautiful. definitely did not recongize him with that lion's mane. Oh wow, I just found out Zang Jin Sheng plays Xie Xun. It's unbelievable that they survived that. Holy SHIT, the trapped-under-the-glacier scene is one of the most EPIC things I've ever seen on television. Only two episodes in, and there are already WAY more colorful characters than in The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006). Zhang Ji Zhong's still reusing the same background music from his other Condor and wuxia series, apparently. That's quite a mesmerizing glare she's got.
Wang Yuan Ke makes for a lovely Yin Su Su. Fuckin Shao Lin monks think their a match for a Wu Dang Taoist. Wang Wei Guo also returns for this series. Looking forward to the debuts of Ady An Yi Xuan and He Zhuo Yan. Shao Lin and Wu Dang are the first sects to appear, apparently. The old Taoist looks a lot like Wu Yue. After the disappointing The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) (which I blame Zha Liang Yong for, not so much Zhang Ji Zhong), I'm hoping this series finishes out the trilogy in a GOOD way.
